Geneva sex offender charged with felonies

nullSean M. Vickers, 44, of Geneva, a Level 3 New York state registered sex offender, was charged Monday in Geneva with first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a child and first-degree sodomy, both felonies, following an investigation by numerous police agencies and the FBI.

Vickers was sent to Genesee County Jail with bail set at $500,000.
Vickers was charged following an extensive and on-going investigation into the abuse of numerous children in the city of Batavia, Genesee County and Niagara County, according to the City of Batavia Police. Warrants have also been issued out of Niagara County for Vickers with charges of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against a child.

Other incidents of sexual abuse are being investigated in multiple jurisdictions with more charges pending the completion of the investigations, police said.
