Pittsford Sutherland High School says it was following protocol when it placed the school into lockdown Friday morning.

News10NBC is told an individual got off an RTS bus outside Pittsford Sutherland High School this morning and entered the school. District officials say a student noticed this person and notified a school administrator.

The school was immediately placed into lockdown and searched by school officials and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Offices. Security camera footage was reviewed and it was determined that the person left the building.

District officials say this took place before school started.
