Her van flipped and ended up on top of her, but a Rochester woman is alive thanks to some super human strength.

The woman was thrown from her van after a crash at the corner of Maple and Saxton Streets Tuesday morning. The van ended up landing on her, trapping her body and resting right on top of her head.

When police arrived, they immediately stepped into action, working together to lift the van off the woman and holding it up until fire crews could arrive.

Officer Brian Phillips, Rochester Police Department, said, "We could hear her screaming and there was a firefighter at her feet, trying to talk to her and calm her down. So we knew the situation was desperate, but we didn't know it was on her head."

The woman is in satisfactory condition at the hospital. As for the people in the other car, they got out of the car and ran from the scene. We don't know if police have been able to track them down yet.
