More than 7,000 volunteers participated in The United Way's annual Day of Caring on Thursday. The Day of Caring is Rochester's largest one-day community volunteer event, and includes 400 locations in Rochester.

Volunteers lended a helping hand with things such as gardening, painting and spring cleaning.

Eighty volunteers were at Foodlink to sort and repackage produce and non-perishable food donations. Volunteers also packed bags for the kids BackPack Program.

Volunteers prepared the grounds of Camp Good Days and Special Times for summer.

More than 300 volunteers did weeding, raking and planting at Mount Hope Cemetery.
