A Rochester man was sentenced Monday for selling fake Christmas ornaments at kiosks at local malls.

Hakan Umsu, 32, of Rochester, was sentenced to one year probation after he was convicted of criminal copyright infringement.

Umsu had obtained the Christmas ornaments from a company from China. The ornaments were replicas of the copyright-protected holiday ornaments created by Rudolph & Me, Inc, a company from Sarasota, Florida. Umsu sold the ornaments at kiosks in the malls during the holiday season.
