A major development in Rochester will bring a major retailer to our area. A Costco store will open as part of the $250 million CityGate Project near the corner of East Henrietta Road and Westfall Road.
The wholesale store is the first retailer announced for the project which will eventually include a mix of retail, housing, hotels and office space.
Assemblyman Harry Bronson says the store will be a major benefit in more ways than one.
Assemblyman Harry Bronson said, "This is really going to transform this area and be a true benefit for the folks who live here as well as the rest of us who live in this area. And for the community, and they also are selecting in Costco, an employer, that is very focused on making sure that it takes care of its employees."
Officials say the store will bring about 300 jobs to our area. They're hoping to open the store in late Spring of next year.
