Police say two men suffered non-life threatening injuries late Friday night in two separate assaults.

The first incident happened on Kohlman Street near North Clinton Avenue. Police say they were called to that scene for reports of gun shots. When the arrived, officers say they found a 25-year-old man who had suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
The victim was transported to Rochester General Hospital and then later taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery.
Officers would not confirm to News10NBC if the victim had been shot.
At around the same time Friday night, a 50-year-old man was assaulted following a robbery on Merchants Road near Melville Street.
The victim in that attack told police the suspect attacked him and took a twenty dollars from him during the incident. Officers say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
