There is a new device to keep young children out of hot cars.

Two seniors at John Hopkins University have invented a sensor that alerts parents if there is any motion in their car after they walk away. The sensor was built with a modified controller from Xbox Kinect. It's so sensitive, the controller can even sense a sleeping baby, alone in a car.

Experts say dozens of children are injured or even killed every summer after being left unattended in a car.
