Police have charged 17-year-old Oleksandr Levytskyy with criminal mischief in connection with an incident where someone had spray painted graffiti on property in the Town of Irondequoit.

Investigators tell News10NBC that 25 residents reported finding graffiti on their property including their cars and/or home between May 25 and May 28 in the areas of Medow Circle, Spartan Drive, Echo Hill Drive, Maple Avenue and Bennett Avenue. In some incidents, red paint was used to spray swastikas and negative police slurs on the vehicles.

According to police, Levytskyy did not say there was any particular reason for the crimes and was not targeting groups or individuals.

Investigators say additional charges are pending as the investigation continues. Levytskyy is being held pending arraignment on the charge.
