Imagine losing your power on a hot day like today. No air conditioning, and no fans.

That's exactly what happened today to thousands in Wayne County. We checked in with RG&E to find out what happened, and, see if anyone's power is still out.

They tell us everyone has their power back at this point. It was restored by about 6:00pm Thursday.

RG&E tells us two wires came down around 3:30pm Thursday, and that's what caused the outage. However, officials don't know what caused those wires to come down.

About 6,500 customers in the Ontario, Sodus and Williamson areas were affected by all of this.
