The East End Festival kicks off at 5:00p.m. Friday night on East Avenue in downtown Rochester.
There will be a food truck rodeo with 10 trucks, along with beer and 12 bands playing on four different stages.
News10NBC talked with organizer Josh Hutchings about this year's festival and the plan moving forward.
Hutchings said, "Tonight is about getting used to the new setup, we're going to keep the sidewalks open to get pedestrians through if they need to go, and then we're going to assess and see where we go next year."
Hutchings says security shouldn't be an issue. They'll have 18 Rochester Police Officers and 45 security officers on hand.
