He was the golfer everyone from Rochester was pulling for. Pittsford's Gavin Hall just wrapped up his second round at the U.S. Open.

He did better than some of the biggest names in golf. Graham McDowell, Jim Furyk and Angel Cabrera, all finished being 18-year-old Gavin Hall.

Hall only made it through five holes, playing -1, before dark Thursday, So he was back on the course for round one early Friday morning. And he put a stamp on the first round with probably the shot of the day, sinking the eagle on the Par 4 eighth hole. He finished the second round at +11.

He'll likely miss the cut, but a great two days for the Pittsford native.
