News10NBC has an update on the story of a woman with local ties who went missing in Panama.
A federal grand jury has indicted the boyfriend of Yvonne Baldelli on charges of obstructing justice in the investigation into her disappearance.
Investigators say Brian Brimager sent fake e-mails, gave false information to officers and made it appear to friends and family that Baldelli was still alive. Baldelli and Brimager moved to Panama in 2011.
News10NBC spoke to Baldelli's parents last year. They said they became suspicious when they hadn't heard from their daughter in weeks. When they asked her boyfriend about her, he told them she had run away to Costa Rica with another man.
According to a federal indictment, Brimager disposed of key evidence from the hostel where he and Yvonne were staying -- a bloody mattress -- and threw away all of her belongings in garbage bags.
Bimager now faces 10 counts of obstruction of justice. He could face 205 years in prison if convicted.
