Trial attorney and lifelong Monroe County resident Christopher Ciaccio announced his intention to run for County Court Judge on Monday.
Ciaccio said, "I am running for County Court Judge because I have the experience, ability and desire to serve the people of Monroe County. As a lawyer with 27 years of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in the criminal and civil courts of the this state, I have a unique insight into the workings of the criminal justice system in Monroe County; what is right with it and where it can be improved."

Democratic Chairman Joe Morelle said, “I have known and worked with Chris Ciaccio for over 25 years and I know he will make a great County Court Judge. He is very smart, knows the law cold and is an incredibly fair-minded person. His integrity and dedication to the people of Monroe County are attributes that will make him an outstanding judge.”

Ciaccio grew up in Irondequoit, went to McQuaid High School, Colgate University and Albany Law School. He currently lives in Pittsford with his wife and their five children.
