Salvation Army of Greater Rochester responds to flooding

The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester is delivering its mobile feeding unit to Herkimer, New York to assist with the flooding cleanup.

The mobile feeding unit, known as the Canteen, provides sandwiches, coffee, donuts, hamburgers and other food for the volunteers who are cleaning up from the recent flooding.

Mobile feeding units and volunteers from Oneonta, Albany, Ogdensburg, Schenectady and Elmira are currently assisting the efforts in Herkimer County and a Sprinter van from Greater New York is en route and will set up in the village of Mohawk. Americares will be delivering a truck load of cleaning kits, water and personal hygiene items.
