If you are looking for something fun to do with your kids this summer, the Rochester Museum and Science Center has a new exhibit that might spark their interest. Visitors of the Electricity Theater experience bursts of lightning, accompanied by musical tones.

"What we've brought is a pair of solid state tesla coils," said Joe DiPrima of ArcAttack, the company that runs the exhibit. "The idea is that the lightening bolts actually generate musical notes, so when the arcs are forming, they can actually play melodies."

ArcAttack began posting videos of the musical lightning on YouTube in 2006. It was so popular that it eventually became the exhibit that is now permanently on display at the RMSC.
