Roc City Challenge bicycle-safety course accepting participants

There is still time to sign up for the Roc City Challenge four-week adult bicycle-safety course!

Classes start on Tuesday, July 9 and are every Tuesday through the month of July.

The schedule for classes is:
Tuesday, July 9 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 16 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 23 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 30 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Participants will meet at Genesee Valley Park and will bike to the Rochester Public Market. Bikers will need to bring their own bike and helmet.

Instructors will discuss a different bike safety or maintenance topic each week, such as gear shifting, turn signals and basic bike repair.

The course is $10 and is presented by Rochester's Flower City Looking Good program. To register, visit the City's Recreation Bureau office at 400 Dewey Avenue in Rochester or call 585-428-6755. Participants can also register on site and should bring a check or cash.
