The deadline has passed and the developer of Medley Centre has not paid yet the money he owns Monroe County.
More than a month ago, Monroe County officials sent a letter to Scott Congel, letting him know that he had 30 business days to pay out the more than $2 million in back taxes and fees he owns on the mall property in Irondequoit.
Officials say they haven't heard from Congel and now representatives from the county, the town of Irondequoit and their school district will try to meet with Congel to discuss the next steps. News10NBC is told there are penalties that Congel will face for missing the deadline and those costs can be added to Congel's payment.
