A third person involved in a deadly crash in Wheatland Tuesday afternoon has passed away.

Sheriff's deputies say 17-year-old Emily Peterson passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital. Peterson was badly injured in that crash on Tuesday at the intersection of North Road and Route 63 in Wheatland. The Jeep Wrangler she was riding in collided with a tractor trailer.

Emily's brother, 20-year-old Chris Peterson, and the driver, 21-year-old Taylor Binnert, were pronounced dead at the scene of that crash.

Two other passengers, 17-year-old Michaela Murphy and 20-year-old Joanne Krutchen are still in the hospital.

The five were on their way home from volunteering at a camp for kids with special needs in Batavia when the crash happened.
