Sheriff's Deputies have released the name of the drowning victim found Saturday in Irondequoit Bay.

Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies tell News10NBC 26 year-old Gabriel Perez-Alvarado of Rochester went into the water off of a boat in the Bay Bridge area just before 5 p.m. Friday. The boat tried to circle around and pick him up, but deputies say he went under.

According to a sheriff's spokesperson there were three other adults and three children in the boat when this happened.

The search for Perez-Alvarado began on Friday, but was called off Friday evening due to bad weather.

The search resumed Saturday morning. Officials say Perez-Alvarado's body was recovered just after 4 p.m. Saturday near 9 Bay Point Circle, about 200 yards offshore.
