A former nurse aide at St. Ann’s Home in Rochester has been arrested.

Ericha Brown, 23 of Rochester, is charged with three counts of willful violation of the health laws. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the arrest on Tuesday.

Schneiderman says while Brown was employed at St. Ann’s Home on Portland Avenue she recorded video of a patient sitting in a wheelchair in a common area and then put the video on Facebook. According to the AG's office, the video – with audio – showed a hand briefly tug at the back of the patient’s hair and a voice is heard saying “she is a troublemaker.” Schneiderman says the video was uploaded on October 24.

Brown was arraigned in Rochester City Court on Tuesday. If convicted, Brown faces up to one year in jail.
