Flavored cigars sales have doubled in past 10 years

The Food and Drug Administration banned flavored cigarettes in 2009 but the move did not extend to flavored cigars. Now that business is booming.
Studies show cigarette sales have dropped a third over the past decade, but during that time sales of cheaper, flavored cigars have doubled.
The come in several varieties -- including chocolate, strawberry and grape -- and because they are often sold near candy at convenience stores, experts say manufacturers may be targeting teens.
Federal research shows one in six 18-to-24 year olds has smoked a cigar -- compared to two-percent of older adults.
The FDA says it is intends to regulate cigars but they have not determined how or when.
