New survey looks at what teachers spend on classroom supplies

A new survey finds that teachers are digging deeper than ever to get the things they need for their classrooms.
According to the new survey from insurance firm, "Horace Mann", more than half of teachers across the country say they've seen budget cuts when it comes to classroom supplies. More than a quarter of them say they've spent about $400 of their own money to make up that difference.
At the top of the list for things not covered in current budgets, basic items, like pencils and pens.
