Plans to redevelop Eastman Dental Dispensary

New hope and a new future for another abandoned building in Rochester. If you drive on East Main Street near Alexander Street, you might recognize the Eastman Dental Dispensary.
It’s been used as a haunted house around Halloween time for years.
This afternoon, developers -- Home Leasing LLC -- will talk about plans to redevelop that building.
The Landmark Society recently named the dispensary a priority. It was built in 1917 by George Eastman and closed in the late 70's when a new dental school opened at the University of Rochester.
The project is part of an ongoing effort to turn around abandoned buildings in the city.
