Three-year-old Craig loves ambulances, police cars, and especially fire trucks. Saturday morning, Craig got the surprise of a lifetime: his own firehouse.
Make-A-Wish volunteers were working hard at Craig's house in Pittsford to build him his own firefighting experience including a working hose to put out "fires."
At noon, Make-A-Wish, Craig's parents and local firefighters all surprised the little boy with his new backyard set-up.
Craig's mother tells News10NBC that Craig is being treated for cancer. She says his treatment is going well and the outlook is positive.
Everyone has been working hard to build Craig his own firefighting experience, including a working hose to put out 'fires.'
"It's great for us. We had a lot of volunteers who wanted to take part in this as well so it was great for all of them to come out and volunteer and help out with the fire trucks. We had a fairly good response this morning coming in with the lights and sirens and everything else coming to his house and show him the fire trucks and help with the unveiling here,” said Chris Howk, Pittsford Fire Department.
