Some people from across the area took advantage of the beautiful day Sunday and helped out a good cause at the same time.

Kidney Cares of Western New York held its third annual Kidney Cares Walk Sunday morning at Seneca Park. The event is one of the organization's largest and most important fundraisers. Organizers tell News10NBC the walk helps them continue to provide kidney services to the Rochester area.

"Basically, we really want to focus in this year on continuing our education within the community as to where patients can find resources. Once someone is diagnosed with kidney disease, a lot of questions arise and we want to make sure that all of our patients and community partners know that Kidney Cares is a nexus and we're here to serve,” said organizer Alyssa Pascucci.

If you weren't able to be a part of the walk but would still like to help out, you can visit the Kidney Cares of Western New York website here.
