Community leaders had a chance to voice their concerns at a special women's forum Wednesday hosted by Assemblyman Mark Johns.
The forum was held at the Webster Community Center. The event was designed to allow the free exchange of ideas, discussion of issues and to provide an opportunity for people to learn how they can influence the legislative process in Albany.
The forum was geared towards women's issues, a lot of them were health care related.
Mark Johns, NY Assemblyman, said, "Well, people are concerned about the health care exchanges that will be up and running on October 1 and the Affordable Care Act kicks in in January and now I represent at the state level but this is a federal program and people have questions about that they want to make sure that they don't lose coverage."
A second women's forum is scheduled for later this year.
