News10NBC has new information involving a deadly crash in Pittsford.
The driver, Michael Weber, 20, of Pittsford, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter. He was arraigned at Strong Hospital Monday.
According to court papers, Weber had a prior youthful offender arrest for DWI in 2011. Because of that arrest, his license was suspended and he was required to have an ignition interlock device in his car. At the time of the crash, police say he was driving without that device and he had switched licenses plates on the car, which was not registered.
Police believe Weber was speeding Monday morning when he drove over several front lawns on East Street near Thornell Road, before running over a mailbox, a traffic sign and then a tree. His passenger and friend, 20-year-old Joel Ajavon was killed in the crash.
