Monday we celebrate the hard work you and so many people put into the community.
The Rochester Labor Day parade begins at 11 a.m. It starts on East Avenue near Alexander Street and goes down West Main Street to Plymouth Avenue.
More than 3,000 people marched in last year's parade, including bands, community groups and unions. Before the parade, Rochester city leaders and labor groups will hold a news conference calling for stronger protection for workers rights.
There are also several closures on Monday. Government offices, banks and post offices will be closed. Garbage pickup in the city will be delayed for one day this week.
