Labor Day is among the top five holidays for stolen vehicles. That's according to the Detroit Free Press, which makes GPS based stolen car recovery systems.
In 2011, 1,977 cars were reported stolen on Labor Day. That's one every 43 seconds.
How can you avoid being one of those stats? Geico says start with always locking your vehicle, even when you're driving. Never leave keys in your car and don't leave it running and unattended.
