Rochester man pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder charges

News10NBC was in court this morning for the arraignment of Marcus Freeman.
Rochester Police captured him after a 24-hour manhunt. He was wanted for shooting two people on Pullman Avenue on Wednesday. Walesy Alvarez, 27, died as a result of her injuries. Martin Moore is currently listed in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.
This morning, Freeman pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder.
Freeman is due back in court on September 12 for a preliminary hearing. He is being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
