One hundred members of the National Guard's 642nd Aviation Support Battalion are leaving Rochester Sunday morning on their way to deployment in Kuwait.

Military officials held a deployment ceremony at the Army National Guard flight facility located at Rochester International Airport. Families and friends joined the National Guard in saying goodbye to the departing soldiers during that ceremony and wished them well on their upcoming mission.

Those soldiers are scheduled to head to Fort Hood from Rochester, for training, then to Kuwait to provide Army aviation support to forces stationed in that country.

News10NBC would like to wish our soldiers a safe deployment and thank them for their service to our country.
