It wasn't a bird, it wasn't a plane, it was Cam Newton. Three seasons ago, then rookie quarterback took the NFL by storm. His sophomore season in Carolina, not as impressive.
Week One against the Seahawks, even less superman like. The Bills want to make him look human in Week Two.
The Buffalo defense was stout in the teams loss to the Patriots in Week One and will try to build on that against Newton, who threw for a career low, 125 yards on Sunday and attempted just three passes over 10 yards.
Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera said he wants to focus more on deep throws against a banged up Bills secondary. Stephon Gillmore is out with a broken wrist and Jarius Byrd's status for Week Two is unknown as he is battling plantar fasciitis.
The Bills added corner Johnny Adams to the 53-man roster and cut defensive tackle Jay Ross.
