Memorials are being held all over the Rochester community to remember the tragic events on September 11, 2011.
On the campus of MCC Wednesday morning, students and faculty invited local first responders for a moving ceremony in front of the 9-11 memorial. Everyone laid white flowers at the base of the memorial. It was built 11 years ago to signify the attacks on September 11. The sun shines through it, casting a shadow of the twin towers.
A young student and veteran gave the keynote speech at that ceremony and it was so moving he left the crowd in tears.
Twenty four-year-old Adrian Hale served in the U.S. Marine Corps and fought in Afghanistan. Click on the video to see his story and hear his message.
