It could still be a week before we know who the conservative nominee for the November election will be.
Sheriff's investigator Tom Dougherty beat current Undersheriff Jim Szczesniak by more than 150 votes for the republican line, but just one vote stands between the two for the conservative line.
Currently, the undersheriff leads by one vote, but that's not yet taking into account absentee ballots.
News10NBC also found out there was a mistake with ballots for the conservative race! Fifty nine conservative ballots were handed out to registered republicans. The Board of Elections says they'll start re-examining the ballots on Monday.
If Szczesniak is the conservative nominee, that means both men will appear on the November ballot.
