Police find body of missing Canandaigua man

UPDATE:  Police say that crews have recovered the body of a missing Canandaigua man Saturday morning.

Canandaigua Police say the body of 63-year-old James Wesley was removed from Canandaigua Lake at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

News10NBC is told that the search for Wesley began after an officer on patrol found clothing and identification belonging to him at the end of the city pier around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, police say he was last seen Thursday. Crews searched for Wesley throughout the day on Friday, before ending the search at dusk.

Police say the Ontario County Sheriff's Office removed Wesley's body from the lake. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of his death. At this time, police say no foul play is suspected.
