A man is dead following a strange crash in the town of Rush Tuesday evening.
News10NBC is told that crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening on Rush Scottsville Road between East Henrietta Road and Route 390.
Deputies say a pickup truck hauling lumber was eastbound when a strap holding down the lumber appears to have broken. That caused the load to shift and a piece of lumber to slide off the cab. That board went through the windshield of a SUV driven by 66-year-old Bruce Crozier, of Rush. Deputies say Crozier was hit by the board and pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say the driver of the pickup has not been ticketed at this time.
