So many of us have seen and enjoyed movies like “Ghost”, “Sister Act” and “The Grinch”. So what can be better than seeing them at that the movies? How about a live performance at the Auditorium Theater?
The first show on stage this season at the Auditorium Theater is a very popular one, “Ghost”. Producer Albert Nocciolino says it will make you believe just like the movie.
Albert Nocciolino, RBTL Producer, said, "We have something for everyone. Shows adapted from the movies, kicking off the season with Ghost. That was the movie with Whoopi Goldberg, Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore."
Next up, “War Horse”.
Nocciolino said, “A story of World War I that Steven Spielberg turned into a movie and it was a book before that. With these magnificent puppets, three people actually make these puppets work they look like live horses on stage, just beautiful."
The kids will be excited about this theater season too.
Nocciolino said, We have a holiday show this year. “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” gives the opportunity for some young people to come to the theater, for many of them, the first time. We roll into another movie musical if you will adapted for the stage fun fun show, “Sister Act”, exactly like the movie!”
Also, based on a movie you might be familiar with, a Broadway musical called "Once".
Nocciolino said, “The story of a young man trying to live his dreams of becoming a musician and not making it and this wonderful woman comes along and changes everything in his life. People might remember the song, “Falling Slowly” from the movie that won the Academy Award for Best Song and then we finish the season with a classic now celebrating the 25th anniversary, the Phantom of the Opera, which will be here for two weeks so a big spectacle to close out the season!”
