Power has been restored to more than 3,200 customers on the north side of the county following outages throughout the day,
According to the RG&E website Saturday afternoon, most of the outages were in Irondequoit where almost 2,800 customers were without power. In Rochester there were 396 customers without power and a handful of customers in Webster.
RG&E officials tell News10NBC that the outages in Irondequoit, Rochester and Webster were a result of a malfunction device at a substation in Irondequoit.
Crews worked Saturday afternoon to repair the substation and restore power to customers. At last check of RG&E's website all power has been restored.
There was also an outage in Greece earlier related to a separate incident where mylar balloons got tangled into wires in the area of The Mall at Greece Ridge. Power has been restored to those residents.
