On Tuesday, the United States will have a new way for you to get healthcare. As part of the Affordable Care Act, an open-market healthcare exchange will open up, allowing anyone to have public access to healthcare.
If you have insurance through your employer or Medicare, you don't have to take part. But you can, if you find a better plan through the Reform Act. Also, anyone who does not have insurance and doesn't qualify for Medicare will have to sign up. That's 84,000 people in the Finger Lakes region.
