It’s harvest season and that means roadside farm stands will be fully stocked. Soon you may see wine bottles next to the fruits and veggies.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says local wineries can sell their products at road-side stands. It's part of a new law to promote upstate New York wines. He signed the legislation Monday.
Farm stands are limited to products from two wineries that are no more than 20 miles away.
The governor's office reports that New York State ranks third in the country in wine and grape production and pulls in more than $22-billion a year in revenue.
