Wayne County Sheriff's Deputies were alerted to a possible theft by a complaint from a passing train.
Two men are in custody after Wayne County Sheriff's Deputies say they were caught stealing metal.
Deputies say Rene Laroche and David Wagner, both of Palmyra, were arrested driving away from a set of railroad tracks. The Deputies say their Office had been called by a passing CSX train, complaining of a suspicious vehicle and two men on the tracks.
The complainant said the two men looked like they were removing metal from the tracks.
Laroche and Wagner were both charged with petit larceny, and are due back in Palmyra Town Court at a later date.
