Seven jurors have been seated so far in the murder trial of an Ontario County woman.
Rose Chase is charged in connection with the death of her husband, Adam Chase. Our news partners at the Messenger Post reported that jury selection in her trial began Monday in Ontario County Court. So far, twelve jurors have been chosen. Two alternatives are still needed.
News10NBC is told that Chase turned down a plea deal that would sentence her to 20 years to life if she pleaded guilty. Chase faces 25 years to life if convicted.
Chase is accused of pushing her husband down the stairs in their home in Stanley last June. Investigators say she then dismembered his body and burned the remains at a property owned by her mother in Yates County.
