The Supreme Court gets back work Monday and it has a local case on its docket for the upcoming session.
A case from Greece regarding prayer at government meetings is among the more than two dozen cases expected to be heard this year.
Town leaders are asking the court to uphold the practice of opening town council meetings with a prayer. That request comes after an appeals court ruled the prayers unconstitutional since they were almost always Christian prayers.
No word yet on exactly when the high court will hear that case.
