Traffic is moving again along a busy stretch of the Thruway in suburban Buffalo that was shut down during the morning rush hour by a truck fire.
State police say a fire on a car carrier temporarily shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 just east of the toll barrier at Exit 50 in Williamsville.
The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m. Monday on the eastbound side between Exit 50 and Exit 49 in Cheektowaga, just east of Buffalo.
The Thruway Authority says the fire resulted in slow-moving eastbound traffic all the way to Exit 56 in Blasdell, 12 miles from the scene of the blaze.
The fire scene was cleared by 9 a.m.
Troopers say there are no reports of any injuries. It's now known yet what caused the fire.
