The case impacted a lot of people in our area with several local volunteers helping to search for a missing man. On Tuesday, testimony began in his wife's trial. Rose Chase is accused of killing her husband, Adam Chase, and then dismembering his body.
On Tuesday, the victim's mother, Sylvia Chase, took the stand and said she knew her son, Adam was not missing. Investigators claim his wife, Rose, pushed him down the stairs, killing him. Officers believe she then dismembered his body before trying to burn it.
Other witnesses who claim they saw Rose with another man just days before her husband was reported missing, also took the stand Tuesday, along with investigators.
If convicted, Chase could face 25 years to life in prison.
