It's an entire week dedicated to showcasing the best fashions Rochester has to offer and it all goes to help a good cause.
News10NBC got a sneak peak at this year's Fashion Week of Rochester. Organizers announced the details of Fashion Week's newest event, "The Switch and Swap" at Panache Vintage and Finer Consignment. The event focuses on what they call "upcycling".
Elaine Spaull, Center for Youth Executive Director "It's important because in many ways at The Center for Youth, we give kids a second chance. We are all about The Center for Youth and Fashion Week coming together and we're giving clothes a second chance and we're giving kids a second chance. And it's never too late to have a happy childhood and it's never too late for a dress to have a second life."
Fashion Week benefits the Center for Youth. Organizers are also collecting any used cell phone at the event. Those will be refurbished and donated to homeless and street youth. Fashion Week kicks off next Wednesday.
