Some Rochester elementary students got a visit from a former Buffalo Bills player.
Runningback Thurman Thomas stopped by School No. 46 Wednesday morning to help promote healthy eating. The school has a new rolling delivery system that brings hot and cold breakfast meals right to the students' classrooms.
Thomas says it's exciting to be able to come to Rochester and teach kids the importance of eating a healthy breakfast.
Thurman Thomas said, "Now that I'm retired and just kind of working for the Bills, I'm having an opportunity to give back to the community whether it's here in Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse, wherever they have the programs to offer you know. I'm always willing to spend time with the kids because I know how important it is because I have kids of my own."
Thomas has been retired from the NFL for 13 years.
