The Rochester Education Foundation honored local men and women who make a difference in the lives of children.
The Foundation recognized what it calls "City School Student Partners" for their help in guiding and supporting students. Wednesday's ceremony was at the Rochester Plaza Hotel on State Street.
"It's important to recognize these partners because they literally make the difference for some kids," said Pat Braus, Executive Director of the Rochester Education Foundation. "They are life changers, and most of the people we recognize are not people you ever hear about. Part of it is just they deserve the credit. Kids benefit, but also we as a community can take credit because people do wonderful things."
The ceremony's keynote speaker was former East High School graduate and NFL star Roland Williams.
