Rochester Police say a man was found dead outside a Rochester home after a shooting Wednesday night.
Police say they responded to the area of Santee Street and Curtis Street for a shooting call at about 9:51 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived, a person on the scene said that a vehicle leaving the area was was involved in that shooting. Officers say several men were running from the scene, got in that vehicle and drove away. Officers chased the vehicle down, and caught up with it on Lake Avenue. News10NBC is told that several people were detained, and are being questioned.
Police say they found the victim outside a 185 Santee street, where he had been fatally shot. The 21-year-old Rochester man was not taken to a hospital, and declared dead at the scene. Officers say that several men who they believe are connected to the shooting were seen leaving the scene.
Rochester's Major Crimes Unit will continue the investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 911.
